13-18 YEARS

On this immersive STEAM tour students will engage with all aspects of these core subjects at the International Advanced Space Camp at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, before visiting Orlando and taking part in STEAM workshops.

Moving onto San Francisco students will discover the Silicon Valley and take in the main highlights such as Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge, combined with educational visits to the Exploratorium and the California Academy of Sciences.

With 3 major STEAM regions in the USA included in this tour your students will come away with new ideas and inspiration to pursue further study in STEAM subjects.

DAY ONE

Arrive into Orlando, USA, transfer to accommodation, enjoy dinner and relax.

DAY TWO

Today students will check into the Camp Kennedy Space Center International and have a full day of Space Camp activities, such as Mars Operations Control Center or the Engineering and Robotics Lab.

DAY THREE

Camp KSC continues and today students could be working in the Botany Lab and Indoor Greenhouse or experiencing Mars exploration and Spacewalk simulators.

DAY FOUR

During the final day of Camp KSC students will complete their astronaut training activities and have a tour of the Kennedy Space Center, followed by a Graduation to celebrate the completion of their Space training and a transfer to Orlando.

DAY FIVE

Today students will have a full day at Universal Studios, including a STEAM-based educational programme where they will learn how rides are designed and engineered before getting to experience the rides for themselves.

DAY SIX

Today students will visit iFLY and take part in a STEAM workshop before their flight experience. In the afternoon they will experience an airboat adventure at the Native American Village Boggy Creek.

DAY SEVEN

You will fly to San Francisco this morning where in the afternoon students will enjoy a cycling tour of the city, including cycling over the iconic Golden Gate Bridge.

DAY EIGHT

This morning students will have an audio-guided tour of Alcatraz and learn about the fascinating history of the island. Back in the city, students will visit the Exploratorium: the Museum of Science, Art and human perception, before having dinner at the famous Pier 39.

DAY NINE

This morning students will visit Silicon Valley, the global centre for technology and innovation. In the afternoon students can visit Stanford University where a guided tour can be arranged.

DAY TEN

Students will visit the California Academy of Sciences this morning before departing San Francisco and travelling home.
