Booking & Planning
We’ve developed a streamlined booking and planning process that ensures your journey from enquiry through to travel is totally stress free. From a range of promotional tools and advertising resources through to our 5 simple booking steps, we offer full support every step of the way. If there’s any additional support you require such as a pre-tour inspection visit or simply a helping hand at a tour information session for students/parents then just let us know and we’ll do everything we can to assist you.
Safety is our priority and we have a process in place to manage all of the various accommodation providers we feature in our tours. We work with a range of options from 5 to 2* hotels, homestays, camping, hostels and lodges depending on your groups requirements. Accommodation providers are asked to provide documentation that adheres to our Health & Safety Management document and if required we will conduct a full safety audit to ensure our high expectations for quality and safety are maintained at all times. More than just a rep, our super tour managers are very much the hero of your journey, giving you a unique guided tour of each stop. They dedicate time to get to know and understand students and ensure all tour operations are under control!
Haka Tours has ample experience in arranging group travel by air, coach, rail and ferry. We work with the most reputable transport providers and recognise that safety and comfort is a vital part of any tour.
Flights are an included component in most tours and we work with a range of reputable airlines to seek out the best flight options for your tour. For International tours we would highly recommend booking 12 months prior to departure so that we can secure the best option and airfare that fits with your requirements. Flights are subject to availability and usually go on sale around 11 months prior to departure. Your Tour Manager will provide information on schedules, baggage allowance and check in procedures as each airline will vary.
Haka Tours has a fleet of small coaches available so if your tour is to New Zealand and you have 20 or less students then it’s likely you will be have one of our awesome buses - all of which are named and part of the Haka crew! All transport providers are asked to provide documentation that adheres to our Health & Safety Management document and if required we will conduct a full safety audit to ensure our high expectations for quality and safety are maintained at all times. Please review our Health & Safety Management System for further information. If public transport is used by a group or individual then this is outside of our control. Please note that while some coaches will be provided with seatbelts, it is not a legal requirement in many overseas destinations for coaches and buses to be fitted with safety restraints.
