Join the exciting Biological Sciences Tour to the east coast of Australia, visiting Cairns, the remote Cape Tribulation and world-famous Daintree Rainforest!

Step into the world's oldest continually surviving tropical rainforest and learn about unique flora and fauna. Snorkel in the Great Barrier Reef and discover spectacular marine life in its natural habitat.

With a varied mix of educational elements and activities included, students will become fully immersed in the region's natural environment and culture. This, no doubt, will be a once in a lifetime educational adventure in an incredible outdoor classroom.

Biological Sciences Tour to Northern Queensland

Take in classroom learning to an exciting new destination!


Take the international flight from Dunedin to Cairns, Australia. Transfer to your accommodation on arrival.


Visit the Tjapukai Cultural Park and learn about Aboriginal culture. Take the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway above the World Heritage protected Rainforest, followed by a ranger-led guided walk. Explore the Koala Gardens in Kuranda Village before taking the Scenic Railway back to Cairns.


Meet your Haka Educational Tour Guide and travel to Port Douglas. Enjoy a Mossman Gorge Dreamtime Walk with an Indigenous guide and learn about local flora, including traditional plant use and bush food.


Travel through the Daintree Rainforest where you will have a guided jungle surfing canopy tour. Tonight you will stay in a rainforest lodge in remote region and natural paradise of Cape Tribulation.


Enjoy a guided snorkelling trip in the pristine untouched Great Barrier Reef where marine life is plentiful. Free time to explore Cape Tribulation is followed by a guided night time walk in the Daintree jungle.


Head back to Cairns with numerous stops en route to further explore the Daintree Rainforest, with plenty of opportunities to spot unique wildlife and discover more of the local flora.


Transfer to the airport and board international flight back home.
