Sailing / Environment / Leadership

Haka Educational Tours and New Zealand Sailing Trust have teamed up to invite your students on an immersive Environmental Leadership programme on board a vessel once sailed by Sir Peter Blake!

Using the maxi yacht (Lion NZ or Steinlager 2) as a classroom, students will learn about the fundamentals of sailing and the environmental issues affecting the Hauraki Gulf. They will develop leadership skills and work on tangible action plans to conserve and protect our environment and oceans. Students will also develop key skills such as planning, problem solving, goal setting, resilience and teamwork.
