Leadership & Environment

September to June

Years 13-18

This wonderful itinerary is a journey by both land and water, integrating conservation education on the incredible Aotea Great Barrier Island, located only 100km from Auckland.

This tour aligns beautifully with where we're heading as a business - creating impactful travel and over the course of this tour, students will not only learn about NZ's unique flora and fauna, but they'll gain self-confidence and leadership along the way. On this trip, the students will also get the chance to go on hiking expeditions, to swim, kayak and camp, fully experiencing what the island has to offer.

Great Barrier Island is New Zealand's only National Marine Park and 70% of the land is protected as a Conservation Park so it offers the opportunity to really get off the grid and get into nature. The whole island is also a Dark Sky Sanctuary, so you’ll get to experience some of the best stargazing opportunities in the world.
