With its breathtaking landscapes and rich culture, Nepal is the perfect place to immerse your students in a different way of life. This is an outdoor education tour your students will never forget.

This tour offers students an experience in community service work in Chitwan National Park caring for wild animals. In addition to the service work, students will also experience a multi-day trek where they will have to use their leadership and problem solving skills to plan and take on the challenge. With breathtaking scenery at every turn, they will have the chance to experience Nepal's varied topography and diverse environments.

DAY ONE

Arrive in Kathmandu, Nepal. Meet your Haka Educational Tour Guide and have your first taste of Kathmandu, exploring the ancient Buddhist and Hindu temples and the spice market.

DAY TWO

Start your first day of community service at Chitwan National Park where students will spend three days among elephants and other wildlife, providing invaluable assistance to the local workers.

DAY THREE

Second day of community service at Chitwan National Park. Tasks will include preparing food and bathing elephants and creating paper made from their dung to distribute to the local schools nearby to use as school stationary.

DAY FOUR

Final day of community service at Chitwan National Park for your students. Students will come away with a deep understanding of the wildlife in Nepal and will experience connecting with nature on a deeper level.

DAY FIVE

Start your trekking experience with an expert guide crossing the Shivapuri Watershed, wildlife reserves and reservoirs. Experience views of the Annapurna, Tibetan, Langtang and Everest mountain ranges. Your students will need to use their leadership and team skills to plan their journey together.

DAY SIX

Second day of trekking where students will be trekking though meadows and fields with unobstructed views of the surrounding mountains.

DAY SEVEN

Your students final trekking day will lead them north to the Yurin Danda Ridge, descending through forests to Tharepati where the trek will end.

DAY EIGHT

Today will be chock-full of adventure. You will board a raft and descend into Nepal’s most exciting water rapids located on the Trusili River. An experienced guide will be with your students the whole way. This will also be the day of your return journey to Kathmandu.

DAY NINE

Explore Nepal's capital today including Swayambhunath, an ancient religious architecture, often considered the most scared of Buddhist pilgrimage sites. Visit Boudhanath, one of the largest Buddhist places of worship in Asia. Students will learn the techniques of wood carving and make something to take home in the afternoon.

DAY TEN

Transfer to the airport, depart Kathmandu for home.
