6-20 January 2021
The January 2020 edition of BUS 202 – Exploring International Business will focus on international business with a trip down under to New Zealand! This class will examine the international outdoor adventure industry along with studying event promotion. We will visit multiple businesses that are engaged in marketing and promoting outdoor adventure activities.
We will discuss the “bigger issues” of entrepreneurship, sales, risk management, ethics, management of the environment, personnel management and cultural connections.
We will also discuss the “smaller issues” of how you act when you enter a new business, how you decide where to eat when you are in a group, what you do when you are in an uncomfortable situation, as they relate to the day to day decisions that we as managers and employees make both in business and when traveling.
