Arrive into Hilo, have an orientation tour of the city with your guide and a group dinner.
This morning your students will visit the Pacific Tsunami Museum and learn about the causes and effects of this natural phenomena. In the evening, discover links to early Polynesian navigation history and knowledge of the night skies at the fascinating Imiloa Astronomy Centre.
Today you will have a full day guided tour of the Volcanoes National Park, including a visit to the Jagger Museum and Halemaumau Crater. You will stop at Rainbow Falls and other waterfalls, as well as a visit to the Lava Tubes.
Today your students will explore the Lava Tree State Park and see the lava molds of the tree trunks that were formed in 1970. You will then head to Kona, stopping at key sights including one of the island’s black sand beaches.
Take a morning cruise to the Captain Cook Monument where you’ll snorkel and learn about the local history. In the afternoon your students will visit the Natural Energy Laboratory where they will learn about renewable energy technologies and sustainable aquaculture facilities.
Explore some of the bays in Kona before taking a flight to Honolulu, Oahu today. Once you arrive on Oahu, you will have an orientation tour of Honolulu with an opportunity to have an afternoon surf lesson or relax on the beach.
Visit Pearl Harbour for a full day guided tour. Visit the Arizona and Oklahoma memorial, the aviation museum and step on board the Missouri battleship. Stay overnight on the Battleship Missouri Memorial.
Today your students will visit Kualoa Ranch to experience the Ka’a’awa Valley, known as Hollywood’s “Hawaii Backlot”. See where over 50 of Hollywood’s biggest blockbuster movies and TV shows were filmed. Kauloa Ranch also offers a range of adventure activities for your students to get involved in.
This morning your students can visit the Bishop Museum for an educational programme before visiting the Polynesian Cultural Centre. Here they will have a traditional Ali'i Luau buffet dinner in the evening and experience the cultures of six different island nations.
Take a walk up Diamond Head Crater this morning to enjoy incredible views of the city before departing Honolulu for home.
