Take part in an exciting Educational Tour of New York City. There is something for everyone here and Visual Arts, Dance and Drama students will take part in three creative days of speciality workshops, including classes run by Broadway performers!

There will be plenty of behind the scenes access and this tour provides the perfect opportunity to explore the main highlights of NYC, such as the famous Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge and the Rockefeller Center, which provides incredible views of the city skyline and Central Park. This will, no doubt, be a once in a lifetime experience for the students of Glendowie College!

Trip Itinerary

Explore the key highlights of New York City and take part in specialty workshops

DAY ONE

Take an international flight from Auckland to New York City. Meet your Haka Educational Tour Guide on arrival at the airport and enjoy an orientation tour of the city.

DAY TWO

Enjoy a guided tour of NBC Studios, see the city from a different perspective from the top of the Rockefeller Center, explore Radio City Music Hall and discover MoMA.

DAY THREE

Morning filled with specialty workshops, including a Museum of Arts and Design workshop, master class at the Broadway Dance Center and Broadway Up Close workshop. End the day with a tour of Carnegie Hall.

DAY FOUR

Enjoy a guided tour at the famous Metropolitan Museum of Art, visit the Guggenheim Museum and end the day with a Broadway Show!

DAY FIVE

Morning is filled with specialty workshops, including a Cooper Hewitt Museum workshop, a Step by Step dance workshop and an Acting Audition drama workshop. In the afternoon, you will have a tour of the Lincoln Center before an evening NYC Ballet Show.

DAY SIX

Take the ferry to see the Statue of Liberty and visit Ellis Island, walk on the Brooklyn Bridge and visit The National September 11 Memorial & Museum.

DAY SEVEN

Today's specialty workshops include a Graffiti tour, workshop and tour of the Ailey Studios and an Improv workshop. Your afternoon is free to visit the famous Times Square.

DAY EIGHT

This morning is free for you to explore the museum of your choice. This afternoon, visit one of the most iconic buildings in New York City, the Empire State Building for fantastic views of the city.

DAY NINE

Take the train to Coney Island for a day of funfair rides and fun at the beach. Return to the city and walk the High Line.

DAY TEN

Free time in the morning for sightseeing and souvenir shopping before taking your international flight from New York City to back Auckland.

DAY ELEVEN

Cross the international dateline.

DAY TWELVE

Arrive back in Auckland with lots of amazing memories, experiences and inspiration!
