Be awed by stunning mountains and unbeatable scenery as you embark on the geography tour of a lifetime! Discover extensive ice age glaciers and marvel at towering fiords as you journey through four magnificent World Heritage sites.

Students will learn about the different aspects that influence New Zealand’s unique geography. Some of the influencing factors include the natural environment, global warming and the affects of human interference and tourism.

Students will also learn about the history of New Zealand’s indigenous Māori people and their history and traditions. Māori tradition and language has a huge influence on New Zealand culture as a whole. This educational tour combines experiential learning with sightseeing and fun activities.

DAY ONE

Welcome to Christchurch! Check in to your accommodation and take part in a comprehensive city orientation tour.

DAY TWO

Today you will see first hand the effects of the 2011 earthquakes, and explore how Christchurch is gradually rebuilding and reinventing itself on the Red Zone Bus Tour. Later, immerse yourself in a Ko Tane Maori Cultural workshop.

DAY THREE

In the morning, travel to Lake Tekapo. Enjoy a relaxing soak at Tekapo Springs, followed by a visit to the fascinating Earth & Sky Mt John Observatory.

DAY FOUR

Today you will travel to Mt Cook to experience the Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre and a fascinating glacial encounter with Tasman Glacier Explorer.

DAY FIVE

Your second day in the Mt Cook region will allow you to discover this majestic landscape on foot and take in some of the most spectacular scenery in the world.

DAY SIX

Today you will travel to Queenstown. In the evening you will experience the Skyline Gondola, Luge and Buffet Dinner where you can enjoy panoramic views over the town.

DAY SEVEN

Explore the adventure capital of New Zealand, Queenstown, this morning where you can choose from a huge range of activities on offer including jetboating, white water rafting and Horse riding. In the afternoon you will travel to Wanaka where you can enjoy spectacular views of the lake.

DAY EIGHT

After a morning to relax in Wanaka, you will travel to the West Coast, known as glacier country. Here you will stop at Fox Glacier to participate in a Fox Glacier Valley Tour before heading to Franz Josef for the evening.

DAY NINE

Today you will have the opportunity to step foot on Franz Josef Glacier during a 5-hour heli-hike experience. There is also the option to take a guided walk to the glacier viewpoint with a knowledgeable guide.

DAY TEN

Travel to Punakaiki from Franz Josef today and see the Pancake Rocks & Blowholes followed by Skeleton Crew Bone Carving Studio.

DAY ELEVEN

Return to Christchurch through the highest and most spectacular mountain pass across the Alps - Arthur’s Pass.

DAY TWELVE

Enjoy your last breakfast in Aotearoa, check out and head to the airport for your departure flight.
