Experience the unparalleled natural beauty of New Zealand in this once-in-a-lifetime tour to New Zealand.
With culture at the heart of the tour you will learn about native customs and traditions, paddle in a Māori war canoe, practice unique Māori arts and crafts, sleep overnight in a authentic Māori communal meeting space and taste an authentic ground cooked hāngi with the locals.
In addition you will get to see and experience some of New Zealand's most exciting and unique activities. You will go kiwi spotting, exploring a Hobbit home, exciting whitewater-rafting, kayaking on the pristine ocean bays and exploring the fascinating geothermal landscapes!

DAY THREE
Arrive into Wellington airport today and meet your expert Haka Educational Tour Guide! You will then transfer to your accommodation and take an evening stroll with your guide and enjoy your first dinner in New Zealand.
DAY FOUR
Take a walking orientation of the waterfront city with your guide before learning to paddle a native Māori waka (war canoe) to experience a local tradition first hand.
Then you will take an educational tour of Zealandia, the world’s first fully fenced urban eco-sanctuary. Gain insights into New Zealand’s natural history and the significant conservation being done right in the heart of the city.
DAY FIVE
Today you will travel to Taupo with scenic stops en-route.
In the late afternoon your will boat a boat to cruise on the lake to the unique Maori rock carvings.
DAY SIX
This morning visit the impressive Huka Falls waterfall. Then follow the river up stream for a dip at Spa Park, a naturally heated part of the river and a local favorite.
Then travel into rural New Zealand for an overnight stay in a local marae (Māori meeting house). Learn more about Maori customs and protocols and Maori relationship with the land , then try your hand at some Maori arts (the Haka & poi), eat a dinner cooked the traditional Maori way before some storytelling about local legends before bed.
DAY SEVEN
After breakfast you will get to take part in a selection of cultural activities with the locals. These may include weaving, fishing, eeling and more.
After lunch the group will continue on to Rotorua where you will take a guided tour of Te Puia, New Zealand’s Maori Arts and Crafts Institute. Explore the geothermal valley, visit the Kiwi House (the New Zealand native bird) and see Maori carving and weaving first hand.
DAY EIGHT
This morning will get suitably wet with some breathtaking white water rafting along the Kaituna River.
Afterwards you will travel to Hobbiton to explore the famous movie set from Lord of the Rings.
Then on to the beautiful beaches of the Coromandel for an evening of relaxing by the waves!
DAY NINE
This morning the group take a morning Cathedral Cove kayak tour. Considered one of the best kayaking trips in the country, you will paddle through amazing sea caves and explore volcanic islands in the Marine Reserve. No previous experience necessary.
Then you will get the opportunity to make your own pendant through techniques passed down through generations of Māori's before travelling on the Auckland.
DAY TEN
Take a morning walking orientations of some of Auckland sights including Mount Eden (flight time dependent).
The transfer to the airport for your international flight home (not organised by Haka Educational Tours).
