On this inspirational STEAM Tour to Europe students will visit CERN in Geneva, Switzerland, the home of nuclear research and the Large Hadron Collider (LHC).

Students will explore key sights and STEAM museums in Bern and Zurich before travelling to London, UK, where they will witness unique design and architecture and visit some of the best educational institutes and museums in the world.

This is a truly life-changing tour for students considering further study within STEAM subjects.

DAY ONE

Arrive in Geneva, Switzerland, and enjoy an orientation of the city, followed by a guided tour of the UN Palais des Nations.

DAY TWO

Spend the day at CERN, the European Organisation for Nuclear Research, taking part in 2 hands-on workshops, learning about particle acceleration, x-rays, pixel detectors and more.

DAY THREE

Visit the International Red Cross, Red Crescent Museum and the Olympic Museum, before travelling to Bern.

DAY FOUR

Explore the Einsteinhaus where Albert Einstein lived when he developed his Theory of Relativity, followed by a sightseeing tour of Bern’s old town and a visit to the Zytglogge.

 

DAY FIVE

Visit the Swiss Science Centre Technorama and Winterthur Museum Garden, before travelling to Zurich.

DAY SIX

Discover the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology before flying to London, United Kingdom.

DAY SEVEN

On your first day in London, students will visit the Alexander Fleming Laboratory Museum, followed by an educational session at the London Zoo.

DAY EIGHT

Explore the Greenwich Observatory and learn about the history of astronomy and navigation, before enjoying a river cruise to the Thames Barrier.

DAY NINE

Visit the Science Museum and the famous Natural History Museum, ending the day with dinner and a show in the West End.

DAY TEN

Explore the key sights and architecture of London, such as Big Ben and London Bridge, followed by a visit to the Tower of London and an evening flight on the London Eye.

DAY ELEVEN

Depart London and travel home.
