Give your students an edcuational 14 day agriculture and environment tour. Discover beautiful glaciers, breathtaking National Parks and experience New Zealand’s unique culture.

Students will have the opportunity to engage in agricultural talks at wineries in key areas and visit farms in the North Island to understand modern farming practices. Students will also study the flora and fauna of the volcanic region and learn about the Māori culture and mythology.

DAY ONE

Fly into Queenstown to start your tour. Upon arrival you will have an orientation tour Queenstown before visiting a local Vineyard to have your first agriculture tour and learn about why Otago has the perfect environment to grow grapes and product quality wine.

DAY TWO

Today you will travel to the West Coast, travelling through the Southern Alps to Fox Glacier. You will be able to explore and learn about the varied landscapes of the area from glaciers to rainforests and reflective lakes.

DAY THREE

Have some time to explore Fox Glacier further this morning before continuing up the coast to Punakaiki where you will be able to see impressive blowholes and rock formations.

DAY FOUR

Travel to the top of the South Island this morning to Blenheim and the Marlborough area, well known for award winning wineries. You will have some agricultural talks and tours during your time in the area to further expand your knowledge.

DAY FIVE

Head to the Marlborough Environmental research station this morning for a talk based on research happening in the industry. In the afternoon you will take a scenic ferry across the Cook Strait and arrive in Wellington.

DAY SIX

Today we have a full day trip to the Wairarapa.

DAY SEVEN

Spend a day in the capital city today, enjoy the cultural attractions and its crowning glory, the Te Papa museum, the national museum of New Zealand.

DAY EIGHT

Today you will travel to the Tongariro National Park, one of NZ’s prime national parks and a world heritage area. You will have time to explore the area and have a talk with the Department of Conservation about the local environment and history of National Park.

DAY NINE

Explore further into the National Park this morning and check out Mount Tongariro. Later you will travel to Lake Taupō and visit the natural hot pools in the area.

 

DAY TEN

Today you will travel to the Waikato region, known for it's agriculture and farming. You will have two days in the area visiting different farms to learning about traditional and modern agriculture and farming processes and systems.

DAY ELEVEN

Today you will enjoy another day visiting farms in the Waikato area. In the evening you will take a kayak glowworm tour with Lake District Adventures to see glowworms up close and learn about the history and cultural background of the area.

DAY TWELVE

Today you will travel up to Auckland and have a city orientation including visiting some of the cities historical volcanoes.

DAY THIRTEEN

Enjoy a day in Auckland today, visiting a local vineyard for your final agricultural talk and tour where you will be able to compare how wine is made in the North Island to the South Island of New Zealand.

DAY FOURTEEN

On your final day of your tour you will transfer to Auckland airport and fly home.
