Take a short immersive tour from Christchurch through stunning Tekapo to Mount Cook. In this geography tour you'll take in the human response to the Christchurch earthquakes and recovery efforts as well as the natural beauty of Mt John, Mt Cook and Tasman Glacier.

Guided educational tours and talks targeted at the New Zealand and Australian curriculum are included to complement the incredible sights and hands-on experiences of this tour.

DAY ONE

Arrive in Christchurch where you'll meet your guide, transfer to accommodation and enjoy a walking orientation tour. Later, head out on the Rebuild Bus Tour to see how Christchurch has responded to the earthquakes.

DAY TWO

Visit Quake City for an educational tour before heading to beautiful Tekapo. Head up Mt John for stunning views and later enjoy the Dark Sky Experience, taking in NZ's dark sky reserve.

DAY THREE

Travel to Mt Cook where you'll participate in a tailored geography educational workshop at the Sir Edmund Hillary Centre.

DAY FOUR

Depending on the time of year you'll head out onto the Tasman Glacier terminal lake; one of the only accessible glacial lakes containing icebergs in the world. Alternatively, take a 4WD tour of the area with a tailored geography focused talk. Later head out on a guided hike with a Mount Cook Ranger.

DAY FIVE

Transfer to Christchurch or Queenstown to end the tour. Optional add-on acitivites are available.
